Project Overview

As part of one of our longest projects (over 2.5 years in total, with several phases), our team completed the following:

  • Shop drawings for temp & permanent steelwork
  • Fabricate to specific design
  • Blast & paint to specification – all steelwork
  • Removal of existing crush tube fenders, box beam & ancillary steelwork.
  • Installation of temporary steelwork to Dolphins 2 & 3, including transition.
  • Installation of new fender steelwork & ancillary items

In removing old ladders in preparation for the installation of new ones, along with fitting FRP platforms, this transformation was a big step forward in improving safety and functionality at the jetty.

In addition, a 130-tonne crane was set up to traverse across for the Quick Hook Release (QHR) platform on Berthing Dolphin 4. This was a great effort by everyone involved in coordinating the crane lift and ensuring everything was in place for a safe and efficient install.
