Project Overview

As part of one of our longest projects (over 2.5 years in total, with several phases), our team delivered a complex scope of marine steelwork across several berthing and mooring dolphins.

On Berthing Dolphin 1, works included the preparation of shop drawings, fabrication, blasting and painting of temporary and permanent steelwork, removal of existing crush tube fenders and box beam steelwork, and the installation of temporary access steelwork. The team also completed the replacement of Quick Hook Release (QHR) platforms, rear ladders, and associated ancillary items.

On Berthing Dolphins 2 and 3, the scope focused on the replacement of QHR platforms only.

At Mooring Dolphin 2, works involved the replacement of line boat fenders.

As part of the broader upgrade, old ladders were removed and new ladders installed, along with the addition of FRP platforms, representing a significant improvement in safety and functionality across the jetty.

A 130-tonne crane was also mobilised to traverse across the jetty for the installation of the QHR platform on Berthing Dolphin 4. This required careful coordination and planning, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency throughout the lift.
