This project required the fabrication and installation of bridge railing and associated support steelwork to 6 bridges and a pedestrian walkway. Our scope of works included 3D site scanning, survey, steel detailing, fabrication, hot dip galvanising and installation – all complying with NSSCS Construction Category 3, which is the highest standard required on high risk government infrastructure projects.
Given the nature and location of the project being on the River Murray, this job provided us with some unique challenges. We were able to use our 6.2m commercial work boat and mobile scaffold to provide easy access. This proved to be a cost effective and efficient installation methodology. This project is a great example of Williams Metal Fabrications providing turn-key solutions and going above and beyond, often exceeding our client’s already high expectations.
