Wayne Elsdon
Having begun work for Williams Metal Fabrications as a boilermaker and rigger in 2008, Wayne currently works as the Senior Site Supervisor for the team, interacting with clients throughout projects. His understanding of the skills required to complete necessary tasks – including welding, rigging and crane operation – are a great asset to both the company and to clients. In addition to getting his coxswain certificate, Wayne has his heavy truck and crane licenses. As a rigger, he can drive the new crane truck and unload it on site safely, whilst supervising installation.
Wayne enjoys working with clients on site, as well as the camaraderie among his co-workers. He’s known by the staff as being a great guy who’s always having a laugh. He is knowledgeable, conscientious and a hardworking leader who sets a good example and always puts clients first in order to complete projects on time.
Wayne notes that his favourite project so far has been the Port Bonython Dolphin upgrade, due to the unique challenges involved and the fantastic crew that worked together to make everything happen.
