This project involved the fabrication and installation of both temporary and permanent steelwork, fenders and ancillary items for Dolphins 2 & 3 at the Santos Jetty in Port Bonython, SA. Our work included:
- 3D drafting and drawings for temporary and permanent steelwork
- Fabrication, blasting and painting of all steelwork
- Removal of existing fenders, box beam and ancillary steelwork
- Installation of temporary and permanent steelwork and ancillary Items
For the 2m-below soffit platforms, we designed poly floats to assist with the installation of the steelwork, which proved to be the most cost-effective and safest installation methodology.
We also had to design a flying fox arrangement to get the steel beams around the raking piles and into their correct position. The project was completed 10 days ahead of the already tight schedule.
